Shout 85258
Our mission is to use data-driven analysis, clinical expertise and technological innovation to deliver mental health support that meet under-served needs and improve the mental health of the UK population.
ABOUT US:

Shout is the UK's first and only free, confidential, 24/7 text messaging support service for anyone who is struggling to cope. We launched publicly in May 2019 and we’ve had more than 1.8 million conversations with people who are anxious, stressed, depressed, suicidal or overwhelmed and who need in-the-moment support. As a digital service, we were shown to be critical for support since the pandemic highlighted and tested the mental health of the nation in the Covid-19 pandemic.

WHY OUR WORK MATTERS:

Everyone deserves mental health support but there are a number of barriers. Shout uses technological innovation led by clinical expertise to break down these barriers and deliver quality support in the moment that is accessible, empowering, confidential and anonymous.

OUR VALUES:
Integrity
Collaboration

THINGS WE ARE PROUD OF:
Our volunteers who make our incredible work possible.
Our innovation for furthering the support available.
Our texters showing bravery in reaching out and being vulnerable by talking.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN OUR PEOPLE:

We look for those who care about others and can put their personal opinions aside to be object; we believe everyone, regardless of their circumstances or history, is deserving of support. We also look for resillience and self-awareness to be able to cope with the challenges and demands of supporting others whilst also knowing when it's time to focus on themselves.

HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT:

Shout is the UK's first 24/7 mental health textline. We use technological innovation to deliver accessible mental health support wherever people are.
