What You'll Do: 

Location: Uganda or Kenya
Duration: June to September 2025

 

Your Role
As a Summer Project Intern, you’ll:

  • Work closely with International Project Coordinators and a National Intern to lead 20-30 volunteers, ensuring smooth operations and an enriching experience for everyone involved.
  • Oversee essential tasks like pre-project visits, airport pick-ups, and volunteer briefings.
  • Take the lead in ensuring volunteer welfare—helping with anything from settling disputes to addressing homesickness.
  • Organise weekend activities, events, and accommodations, working alongside International Event Coordinators to deliver seamless logistics.

 

There will be a two stage interview process

  1. Individual interviews will be held online, on W/C 27th January 2025
  2. Progressing candidates may be invited to assessment day group on 30th January 2025 in Milton Keynes. A contribution will be made to you for your travel.

Once successful, the Summer Projects Interns will be required to attend three day training at out UK Head Office in Milton Keynes prior to commencing their internship, accommodation and travel will be covered by Play Action. Date TBC in April 2025
