After School Grammar Club Volunteer

What You'll Do: 
  • You will be running weekly grammar clubs with KS2 children aged 7 - 11 years.
  • You will be required to support children with their progression through different grammatical and English topics such as apostrophe's, conjunctions, alliteration, verbs, adjectives, and other important topics within this field.
  • You will be creating a lesson plan for each week with your other club leader in order for there to be a clear and identified structure in line with children's current skills and vision for progression.

What We're Looking For: 

We are now looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us run the club for our Year 3-5 primary school students. You don’t need experience of working with children to apply, but you will need to be:

 

  • Free to volunteer once a week between 3:15pm and 4:30pm until July 2024
  • Happy to get stuck in with interactive activities
  • Understanding of- and empathetic towards the needs of the children
  • Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (organised and paid for by Heritage Charity London) which you will get your own copy of.
