Christian Aid Student Takeover

What You'll Do:

We’re celebrating Student Volunteering Week with our Student Takeover.

For two whole days, on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th February, we’ll be opening our doors to student volunteers. And you can be one of them!

What does it involve?

You’ll be matched with a Christian Aid colleague for the day, taking on some of their responsibilities and getting a behind-the-scenes look at their work!

Depending on the role, you could find yourself managing our social media, working with our humanitarian teams, or even shadowing a director! We’re offering placements in international development, campaigning, policy, digital media, fundraising, and many more.

Why You'll Love It:

This unique experience will give you the chance to see the inner workings of one of the UK's most innovative and dynamic INGOs with a 75-year history of being at the forefront of campaigning and development.

You'll gain experience with an international charity, and will have a chance to bring your own perspective to the work over the two days.

What You'll Learn:

As well as gaining insight, knowledge and experience through a staff mentor  - you’ll get to attend a Question and Response session with colleagues in our International Development. There will also be a Careers Skills Workshop led by our Global Talent and Learning department

What We're Looking For:

If you're passionate about seeing an end to poverty, challenging the systemic causes, or are motivated by the injustices of climate change - then come and volunteer with Christian Aid.

You don't have to be a Christian, we work with all faiths and none.

You'll need to motivated and willing to get stuck in.
