Gain new skills, training and valuable experiences whilst supporting a child in your community!
As a mentor, you will be trained to deliver weekly 1:1 sessions for the duration of 12 months. You will help build confidence, resilience, and help your mentee manage feelings through a series of fun experiences. Whether you’re playing games or discussing goals, you’ll be making a difference in a child’s life by developing the tools for a positive future.
Mentoring a Little Londoner can help support your professional development, with 57% of mentors reporting the programme helped them progress in their career. We will support you to develop and enhance a wide range of transferable skills.
At The Kids Network, we believe every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and inspired. We create positive, lasting change by connecting children with a consistent, caring mentor from their local community.
50% of mental health issues are diagnosed before the age of 14. This makes early, preventative support crucial. We work with children aged 8-11 at a key moment in their lives, the transition from primary to secondary school. A timewhen confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging can shape their future.
We match children are with a trained local volunteer who provides stability, encouragement, and a trusted relationship. Our child-led approach helps young people build confidence, develop emotional skills, and navigate the challenges they face.
Join us and be part of a movement that’s changing children’s futures, one connection at a time!
