The goal is to provide primary schools with a simple service: doing a workshop about art for an hour or two. The schools contacted would be mainly near City university of london for easy accessibility.
That said, this implies coming once every week for an hour or two over 4 weeks (but it can vary vis a vis of what want a school).
During these sessions, 2 to 3 workshops about different art subjects (colours, shapes, composition,...) can be made and it will be our job to entertain these workshops to teach indirectily some art concepts.
Obviously, they still kids at this stage so, nothing complicated will be asked from them. This implies that no worries has to come out of a mind about knowing how to draw or paint. Kids will learn by activites, implying no teaching. Beside, all people entertaining a workshop can take part into the workshop itself in addition of looking over what children are doing. Painting, pastels, charcoal and other mediums will be tested during these sessions.
This work matter as everyone would have wanted to be more skillful in an art subject. At the life stage of a kid, memories still in place and fields can be discovered. The field of art is a good ground as it keeps the creativity of young ones in shape and will let them discover something that they would have otherwise never cared about trying. Painting, pastels, clay, charcoal and so on will be tested by kids into these sessions.
So, the work done will let them with more insights into art and maybe create new passions that can stand still in the future. In an other case, it will let good memories in their head.
We are looking for patient persons, with a small interest in art and that have no problem working with kids.
Also, it is good to have the mentality of looking for something new and learn every time as the workshops proposed would be much more interesting if you, as a entertainer, take part into the activities proposed.
Moreover, we are interested in persons that want to enhanced their CVs with a volunteering project like that. It is easy as it takes only one to two hours of your time per week.
We try to do something useful with art by allowing it being accessible from a young age. The goal is to enhanced art exposure toward children, avoiding them in the future to spend too much time into screens and rather do something creative of their time.
