Our Core Values:-
To treat each individual as unique
To enable all to reach their full potential until death
Respect for Human Dignity
To confront the patient’s pain and distress whether physical, mental, social or spiritual
Care of the Poor and Vulnerable/Advocacy
To encourage openness and honesty when communicating with the patient and family members
To be committed to the development of palliative care
We take a holistic approach to our care, which means that we look after the wellbeing of the whole person, as well as their loved ones.
We provide palliative care in the Hospice and in the community as we believe that people should choose where they receive their care. It's why our work matters to us.
Our Opportunities

Compassionate Neighbours is a social movement, founded by St Joseph’s Hospice in 2014, to help reduce loneliness and social isolation. CN are trained volunteers offering friendship & a listening ear.

The Hospice is looking for volunteers to help in the running of our café in our Community Hub, on the ground floor of the hospice. Our café sells a range of freshly made sandwiches, snacks, and hot meals. Hot and cold drinks also served.

Dementia Wellbeing East London is a support programme designed to improve the quality of life for people living with advanced dementia and their families.
