Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice helps children who are seriously unwell make the most of every day. We work with babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and support their families too. Our aim is to help children live life as children, and for families to spend quality time together, not just as carers, but as parents, siblings and loved ones.
We support families living in North and Central London and Hertsmere, providing care wherever it is needed most; at home, in the community or at our hospice building, The Ark. Located in Barnet and set within a beautiful nature reserve, The Ark is a warm and welcoming space. It offers dedicated areas for therapy, play and rest, as well as peaceful spaces for families to spend time together and receive expert care.
Noah’s Ark offers a wide range of support tailored to each child and family. This can include clinical care, sensory play, creative therapies, support for siblings, respite for parents, and guidance through loss and bereavement. Whether at the end of a child’s life or in the years of care that may come before it, we are here to help families face the challenges ahead with compassion and practical support.
Our team includes nurses, therapists, social workers, play specialists and trained volunteers. We work closely with local hospitals, health professionals and community organisations to make sure each child receives the right care at the right time.
Caring for a child with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition can have a huge impact on every family member. Our specialist care and practical helps to ease the pressure on families, giving them the chance to make the most of their time together. Whether it’s creating joyful moments through play, offering expert care at the end of a child’s life, or simply being there to listen, our support helps to create moments that matter.
