You'll be instrumental in ensuring participants complete the course safely, as well as offering friendly and much needed words of encouragement. Our volunteers support our participants where and when help is needed most during the night of the event. If you are proactive and happy to get stuck in then join the Shine Volunteering Team for a fantastic experience.
Whether you’re coming solo, bringing a friend or part of a larger group, your support means our event can run smoothly and raise money to fund lifesaving research. You’ll be joining a lovely bunch of other volunteers!

Visit a person at home and befriend them, offering communication support, and a fresh perspective from their daily routine. The person you visit will have aphasia, a communication disability, often stuck at home without support.

You will support people to access healthcare and overcome barriers, providing much-needed practical support. Your time can be split between working at our Outreach Services in East London, and on our remote Advice Line.
