Capital cases and legal research - Evolve

What You'll Do:

Evolve is a criminal justice development organisation led by barristers in the UK working pro bono to improve access to justice and build the capacity of criminal advocates, judges, and institutions in Uganda through the provision of training and mentoring. Evolve is looking for five volunteers to join the capital cases and legal research teams to provide support to lawyers appearing in capital cases at the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.

Tasks will include drafting briefs for counsel, preparing evidence spreadsheets and conducting legal research.

What We're Looking For:

Requirements: We are looking for five dedicated, self-motivated and very competent individuals who have completed or are in the process of completing the Bar Course. Candidates must have an interest in criminal law, have the ability to assimilate information quickly and complete tasks to a high standard.
