You will befriend a person living at home with aphasia, a communication disability. We would ask you to do this regularly, once a week, for approximately one hour plus travel time.
- You will get to know them and build a rapport with them.
- You will provide better conversations with training beforehand
- You will be able to signpost them to other support services
- You will complete a one sided feedback sheet and join supervision and support sessions, where you can recieve peer support as well as professional support
- You will have fun and learn from the person with aphasia.

You will support people to access healthcare and overcome barriers, providing much-needed practical support. Your time will be split working in our Stratford (East London) Clinic, Outreach Services in East London, and on our remote Advice Line.
