The archive team of Barnardo's Making Connections is currently seeking well-organised, diligent volunteers to work with the archive, research and office support team, supporting with access to service user records and family history, research and digitisation of Barnardo's history and other administrative tasks.
- Researching within Barnardo's publications and library
- Developing case studies and linking findings to history, policy and legislation of that period
- Updating research leaflets using Barnardo's publications
- Supporting the staff team with the research of service user files and tracing of relatives
- Supporting the staff team with the return of service user files
- Digitisation of relevant materials
- Data entry, referencing and organising information found during research
- Adhering to Barnardo's policies and procedures at all times, including Barnardo's: Safeguarding; Equality, Diversity and Inclusion; Health & Safety; Data Protection; Confidentiality; Recording policies and procedures
- Participating fully in training and supervision
- Volunteering within Barnardo's Values and Behaviours
