Volunteers assist in the kitchen alongside our chefs. This role will include helping to prepare hot food, chopping vegetables, cooking etc.. And then serving our clients during breakfast or lunch service, taking the time to greet and engage with our guests. The vast majority of our food is cooked using fresh ingredients that have been donated requiring us to be very creative with the menu every day. Some of our food also grown right here on our roof garden!
- You do not need to be a trained chef as you will be well looked after by the team
- Willing to undertake Food Safety Level Two training (we will provide this)
We keep the kitchen a fun and engaging area to volunteer in.
It may be tough at times seeing people who are experiencing homelessness, but you will be well supported by the team and get to help others.
