Family Event Volunteer - Royal Air Force Museum

What You'll Do: 

Help us deliver our exciting public events programme aimed at families and gain firsthand experience in a museum setting.  The Family Event Volunteer is a new role we have designed to help support the delivery of the 2024 Public Event Programme aimed solely at families visiting the Museum, taking place across all school holidays. Every school holiday, we want to deliver fun and engaging activities and events for families and we need your help to make these a success.   Our events not only help to raise money for the RAF Museum charity but are also a great way to promote the Museum to a wider audience. The duties include

Helping to plan and deliver activities.

To set up and tidy up activities.

To be friendly and informative.

Being the first point of contact for visitor enquiries.

Actively engaging with visitors to collect visitor feedback

Why You'll Love It: 

Our team of event volunteers are the face of the RAF Museum at events, helping to create special moments and memories within the unique setting of the RAF Museum situated on the historic site of RAF Hendon.   Working with us you will be part of a great team of volunteers and staff, where you will help make new experiences, meeting new people and make new friends.  Training will be provided and you will also gain practical experience in event planning, operations and delivery. 

 

As a thank you for working with us, not only will you will receive all your travel expenses reimbursed up to £14.50 per day, in line with our policy, but you will also recieve a discount in gift shop and cafe, you could also receive volunteer tickets for certain speical events, and obtain free entry to a wide range of museums and hertiage sites across the UK, including our sister site at Cosford, Shropshire.
