Christmas tree collection and recycling volunteers

What You'll Do: 

In 2023, we collected 750 real Christmas trees and we’re aiming for over 1,000 this year.

 

Dates: Saturday 13th January and Sunday 14th January
Time Commitment: 8am – 4pm (All day, morning or afternoon slots available) Location: Woodford County High School for Girls, IG8 9LA. Other locations may be added across Redbridge.

 

Dates: Wednesday 24th January and Thursday 25th January- this will be a mop up session of trees not collected on the original dates.
Time Commitment: 10am – 4pm (All day, morning or afternoon slots available) Location: Location within Redbridge TBC

What will I do?

There will be a variety of different roles available;
•Driving the van to collect trees
•Being a passenger in the van navigating to the next collection postcode
•Being at the hub unloading the vans of the trees
•Phoning customers to arrange missed tree collections If you have access to your own van this would be great!

Please note the role of collecting the trees is quite physical so we do ask that you are fit and well to take part in that role with no pre existing injuries.

What We're Looking For: 

No specific skills required we are just looking for people that are enthusiastic and able to come with a hands on approach. Due to it being quite a physical opportunity we would ask that volunteers have no pre- existing conditions or injuries.
