Direct children (and their adults), cheer them on, warn them of any hazards, make sure they run the right way on the course. Other roles (e.g. timekeeping, barcode scanning, tailwalking) also available - just ask for more details. Every Sunday 08:45-09:30 (but no long term commitment required - just email us whenever you're able to volunteer and we can add you to that Sunday's roster). For more information about our event, please see our website: https://www.parkrun.org.uk/caledonian-juniors/ and for more information about volunteering at parkrun generally, see https://volunteer.parkrun.com/principles/volunteer-roles
It's a really positive, uplifting way to start the day.
As much or as little as you like! You can simply turn up and marshal each week, or if you're keen to learn more, you can try out different volunteer roles. Full training is given for all roles (though little is actually needed - they're all pretty straight forward). There is also the possibility of gaining skills and experience in order to be Run Director (the person in charge of the event on the day).
Someone with a positive attitude - who is able to get up and out on a Sunday morning (we promise you, it's worth it!).
