STEM Ambassador volunteers in universities range from those studying app design to meteorology to healthcare. They come from a vast and diverse range of backgrounds, but all use STEM in their studies. By volunteering a little of their time each year to support school and non-school groups through a range of activities, including mentoring and careers talks, STEM Ambassadors play an essential role in get young people fired up about STEM subjects and careers.
Our STEM Ambassador team will support you at all stages of volunteering, from registering and completing your induction, to training and offering a range of flexible opportunities. All we ask is that you take part in at least one activity every 12 months. You will need to complete a DBS check as part of this onboarding process.
