Queer POC Group Volunteer

What You'll Do:

We are looking for volunteers to join our new Queer POC group. We currently have one volunteer leading on this, but we are looking for a couple of more volunteers to be able to run the group. We are looking for long-term committed volunteers who can support the group twice a month. Volunteers would need to identify as a POC and LGBTQ+ themselves.

We don’t have specific timings yet, but we would be looking potentially at one Wednesday evening and one time during the day on a weekend.

The group would be 2h long. One half would be focussed on support, i.e. people talking about a specific subject or sharing what’s going on with them. The second half would be more social, people making friends, hanging out etc. Volunteers are to facilitate the group, encourage conversation, make sure everyone’s safe etc while maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality.

If you are interested in the group, you would need to fill out the volunteer application form first: https://londonfriend.org.uk/volunteer/. Please email daniel@londonfriend.org.uk for any further questions.
