At our busy Stratford site we are looking for volunteers to do a variety of different tasks to support those undergoing treatment with sight-loss/VI.
Some of the activities that we need our volunteers to do can include making reminder phonecalls to patients on site, helping patients check in for their apointment/guiding them around the clinic and hand-holding those who are undergoing surgery.
As a Friends volunteer you'll be able to provide small, but kind actions that go a long way for those living with eye conditions/visual impairment.
It'll give you a great sense of purpose and will give you experience and skills that can be transferred into any career path.
You'll learn a lot including interpersonal skills, and will gain experience of a hospital-setting.
We are looking for patient, calm and empathetic volunteers who are willing to speak and listen to our patients.
