CityBuddy Mentor

What You'll Do:

As a CityBuddy mentor, you will mentor up to four first-year students – your mentees. We will match you with students from either your course or a similar course.

As their mentor it is your job to support new students as they settle in at City. You'll give them a head start by guiding them around, showing them all City has to offer and providing a valuable insight into your own experience of studying on your course.

You are the ideal guide for new students having recently gone through the same process yourself and because you can offer support and guidance based on your own experience. Your impact could prevent someone from feeling isolated and overwhelmed and instead enjoy their start at City.

Why You'll Love It:

It's a great way to meet other students and make friends with people you wouldn't usually get the chance to speak to!

What You'll Learn:

How to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds, how to signpost people to different university services, and how to share your skills with another student.

What We're Looking For:

Someone reliable, friendly, and switched on.
