London Marathon cheer point volunteer

What You'll Do:

Our Marathon runners raise vital funds which enable us to support people with complex disabilities – they need you to cheer them on and keep them motivated as they run 26.2 miles past some of London’s most iconic landmarks! Join team Sense and be a part of the electric atmosphere of the event!

We believe that no one, no matter how complex their disabilities, should be left out of life. Every penny raised by Marathon runners will go towards that goal. Whether it’s running accessible, fun holidays for disabled people, or providing sensory toys for a deafblind child.

Your support could really make a difference to the runners and to Sense’s essential fundraising work. Multiple Marathon-runner Donna says that “Sense’s cheer points are the highlights of the course. I have met many wonderful people over the years and can’t imagine not being part of the team.”

There are several cheer points throughout the Marathon course, and we’ll need people to thank and congratulate our runners at the end too!

Why You'll Love It:

This is a chance to support our amazing runners who are running to raise money for charity. It's also a chance to support Sense as a charity and help us to raise awareness so that we can support as many people with complex disabilities as we can.

You'll get to see the Marathon up close, and get some fresh air while doing something energetic and fun! Jump, shout and wave to our runners as they pass by.

What You'll Learn:

You'll have chance to learn more about Sense and what we do. You'll get to meet our other cheer-point volunteers, some of whom may have been there before.

What We're Looking For:

No experience needed. This would be a great oppertunity for students and groups of friends.
