Lymphoma Awareness Community Volunteer

What You'll Do:

There are flexible opportunities involved – you decide how much time you’d like to give and the type of activity you’d like to do! We recommed spending at least 1 hour volunteering each week, or 4 hours spread across a month.

Example activities:

- Provide on-the-day support during events (for example, stewarding, taking part in fundraising collections or joining a cheer team)

- Display posters and flyers across your local area to promote the our services and events.

- Attend and/or host a lymphoma awareness stand in the community, or a Lymphoma Action information stand at a health event or in a hospital.

- Give a talk or presentation, including virtual presentations.

- Get involved with social media activity or raise awareness through online activities.

- Support fundraising, from coordinating collection tins to corporate partnerships.

- Help build local connections and contacts through networking opportunities.

Why You'll Love It:

Help people affected by lymphoma by becoming a valued member of our volunteering community, which is at the heart of our work, and enhance your wellbeing through being active in your community and connecting with others.

What You'll Learn:

Develop your understanding of lymphoma and the work of a national charity, with opportunities to enhance skills such as communication, event support and teamwork, as well as opportunities to bring your expertise and interests to the role.

What We're Looking For:

Volunteers should be reliable, and enjoy meeting and working with people from all backgrounds and experiences while volunteering both independently and as part of a team. They should have a basic understanding of lymphoma and knowledge of Lymphoma Action, or be willing to learn.
