Phone Support Volunteers

What You'll Do:

As a phone support volunteer you'll be responsible for making friendly phonecalls to our patients to remind them of their appointments, and to encourage them to attend. You will also trouble-shoot any issues that patients may have, listen to their concerns and note down any issues they may have to be raised with the booking centre.

Why You'll Love It:

As a Friends volunteer you'll be able to provide small, but kind actions that go a long way for those living with eye conditions/visual impairment.

It'll give you a great sense of purpose and will give you experience and skills that can be transferred into any career path.

What You'll Learn:

You'll learn a lot including interpersonal skills, and if onsite will gain experience of a hospital-setting.

What We're Looking For:

We are looking for patient, calm and empathetic volunteers who are willing to support our patients.
