As a health-hub volunteer your main tasks will be emotionally support patients. You'll be on hand to answer patients queries, listen to their concerns and to provide advice/signpost patients to relevant organisations. Our volunteers also help distibute pamphlets and print media to patients, and pass on information to our ECLO's Julia and Sabina if patients require further support.
As a Friends volunteer you'll be able to provide small, but kind actions that go a long way for those living with eye conditions/visual impairment.
It'll give you a great sense of purpose and will give you experience and skills that can be transferred into any career path.
You'll learn a lot including interpersonal skills, and if onsite will gain experience of a hospital-setting.
We are looking for patient, calm and empathetic volunteers who are willing to support our patients.
