My Home Life (myhomelife.org.uk) is an international initiative that promotes quality of life and delivers positive change in care homes for older people. We are looking for someone special to support the My Home Life England vision of ‘quality of life for all people who live, work, visit and die in care homes’!
We want to broaden our reach into local communities, including through our Care Home Friends and Neighbours programme (carehomefans.org), so we’re looking for someone who is good with the written word and finding a local angle. Motivated to help improve the quality of life for older people in care homes, we want someone to support us to build up our local contacts with media outlets and people of influence, such as MPs and Mayors, helping us to reach our target audiences. We would also welcome design and website expertise, helping us to create engaging creative content that tells the My Home Life story.
We are seeking someone who preferably has expertise in some or all of the following: communications, media, social media, digital design and development of websites. Ideally, we would like someone who has also used the Gorkana Media Intelligence system (gorkana.com) to help us track our successes. (But if you haven't used this platform, we can provide you with training and help to broaden your communications skillset too).
My Home Life England is hosted by City, University of London and we sit in the School of Health Sciences. You will be supported by our Communications Officer, Amy Simpkins.
