We are currently recruiting student presenters and student volunteers to support the delivery of the Conference.

Comms Lead – showcase the conference’s story through photography, video, and creative content across social media channels.

External Engagement Lead – liaise with external partners, sponsors, and special guests, making sure everyone has an awesome experience.

Workshop Lead – oversee workshop logistics, support the hosts, and ensure each session runs smoothly and engages attendees.

Day roles:

Registration – welcoming and signing in attendees.

Wayfinders – guiding attendees to the right locations.

Session Chairs – introducing presentations, keeping sessions on time, and engaging the audience.

MC – hosting the opening and closing sessions and engaging attendees throughout the day.

What You'll Learn:

Take part in LSSC26

Applications are now open for presenters and volunteering roles.

You can get involved in the following ways:

  • Present: present your research, project or creative demonstration, deliver a discussion panel or produce an academic poster
  • Leadership roles: volunteer alongside our team of staff to deliver the conference
  • Day roles: volunteer to facilitate the conference on the day
What We're Looking For:

Presentations

The Conference provides opportunities for students from all London universities to exhibit their work through presentations, academic posters, and other creative mediums.

This is a fantastic opportunity to:

  • Practice presentation skills in a professional setting
  • Gain conference experience
  • Share your work with a diverse audience
  • Network and connect with students, staff, and industry professionals from London and beyond.

Leadership roles

Volunteer for a leadership role and gain valuable employability skills, hands-on experience, and a chance to make a real impact at our flagship event. As a Lead, you’ll oversee key aspects of planning and delivery, working closely with our Conference team to ensure the event runs smoothly and leaves a lasting impression.

Day roles

Be part of the action on the big day! These one-day volunteering opportunities are perfect for developing your skills, boosting your CV, and contributing to an inspiring event. You must be available on Wednesday 25 February 2026 for the conference and Thursday 15 January 2026 for an in-person practice session, both days taking place at Kingston University London.
