Welcome to the new term!
At the end of the last academic year, City St George's Volunteering did a survey to find out which students volunteered, why, where and when. We learnt so much from you all and discovered some interesting stuff! The key pieces of information we discovered were that students struggled with time management, confidence and faced on the job challenges. The most prominent ways in which students overcame these barriers were by communicating, planning, researching and seeking university help.
One thing we have produced in response is a Welcome Guide (below). Whether you're new or old, hopefully this guide will provide some useful information, boost your confidence and make you feel a little less alone with any questions or uncertainties.

The Hospice is looking for volunteers to help in the running of our café in our Community Hub, on the ground floor of the hospice. Our café sells a range of freshly made sandwiches, snacks, and hot meals. Hot and cold drinks also served.
St Joseph’s Hospice looks after and supports people over 18 years of age with incurable life limiting conditions. We are looking for volunteers with their own vehicle who would be paired with another volunteer to go out and collect donation boxes.
