Description

Some residents will have very complex challenges and will require coordination of a range of support from various organisations whilst others may require simple actions such as signposting to services. Volunteers will be required to keep a brief record of what they have been doing.

Wellbeing Support Volunteer
Time Commitment: Varying as offered on 1:1 basis for a minimum of 6 months

This volunteer role will be to support people to complete the actions identified from the guided conversation. This may involve supporting people to go to local clubs and join in with different activities, such as coffee clubs, storytelling and cinema visits and/or supporting them with their hobbies and interests, whilst they build their confidence and self-esteem.

Every person is individual so the support offered will vary accordingly.

Any particular skills, interests and hobbies a volunteer has, will be incorporated into this role whenever relevant and possible. There are no set hours, as this role will be tailored to the volunteers own wishes.

This opportunity will assist you in gaining the following skills:
