Description

Sense holidays and short breaks are full of fun activities and different experiences. Volunteer on a Sense holiday and support a disabled child, young person or adult with multi-sensory impairments or complex communication needs, as they try new things, make friends and enjoy a break away from home.

Our five to seven day breaks take place from April to September throughout England. From city breaks, to canal boats and cottages there is something for everyone! Each break is different, and could include swimming, drumming, visits to local attractions, canoeing, dry slope skiing, meals out, or nights in the pub! Volunteering on a Sense Holiday is completely free of charge and all your accommodation, food and activity expenses will be covered.

You’ll be part of a team led by an experienced and skilled holiday leader, working one-to-one with a child, young person or adult. Your support will make all the difference. With your enthusiastic, can-do, team attitude and willingness to learn, you will take your skills out of their comfort zone. Through your patience, humour and care, you will discover the joy of nurturing small achievements, creating new connections or life changing moments.

Training will be provided by the organisation for this position:

All volunteers are required to attend a training day. At the training day they meet their team and receive essential information about the holiday.
