ABOUT US
The WSUP Charity makes grants to organisations that carry out development projects, particularly in the area of urban WASH. We have current committed to supporting two projects - the construction of water kiosks in urban Madagascar and the delivery of school sanitation activities in Bangladesh. We plan to raise the funding by reaching out to Trusts and Foundations across the UK. Although a large volume of research has been done, we require support in mobilising these applications and sending them out to secure funding.

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a reliable, honest volunteer to support us with sending out fundraising applications from trusts and foundations. Tasks would include: administration - coordinating the drafting and sending of letters to new prospects; data entry - ensuring that thorough records of all applications are maintained; and prospect research - contributing to pipeline development through research.
There are opportunities for further pipeline development, based on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.

You do not need to be a professional fundraiser with lots of experience for this role. What is more important is an ability to manage your own workload with minimal supervision and enthusiasm for The WSUP Charity’s work.

This role would be perfect for someone looking enter the charity, not-for-profit, international development or funding sector. We are open to flexibility in terms of hours and time commitment but would require that the volunteer is in the office for at least 4 hours per day on the days they are here.

Training will be provided by the organisation for this position:

Training (formal and informal) will be provided on:
- MS Excel and Word as necessary for producing the applications
- Fundraising research tools such as online portals and the Charity Commission website
- Further training as appropriate to the role
