Call for volunteers interested in journalism and campaigning

The Roma Support Group* is currently looking for two Roma Advocacy and Campaigning Project Volunteers, who will support the Roma Advocacy and Campaigning Project Worker with developing a strategy, planning, coordinating and delivering the Roma News Program. The volunteers will have the unique opportunity to develop a news program delivered in the Romany language specially designed for the Roma community members living in the UK but not only. You can be part of a very special, innovative and challenging initiative. If you have any experience or qualification related to journalism and you want to develop that, don’t miss this opportunity! Volunteering with us is a great chance for you to get experience, references and training opportunities, as well as gain an insight into Roma history and culture.
We encourage candidates with Roma or East European background to apply for the role.
*The Roma Support Group was set up in 1998 to help Eastern European Roma refugees and migrants integrate better into British society as well as making the public aware of Roma culture, heritage and their current situation in the UK.
