Description

Pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds are 2.5 times less likely to gain access to university than those from high-income families. Join Team Up’s growing movement to help tackle social inequality in London this January.

Equipped with full training and detailed resources, you will tutor a group of three low-income pupils who are currently underperforming in English or maths and provide them with the academic support, encouragement and inspiration they need to get back on track.

In addition you will:
- Gain a career mentor from an industry of your choice, with four guaranteed sessions over six months
- Develop leadership skills, which can be demonstrated through logged volunteering hours, a personal reference and an accredited leadership qualification
- Enable a group of low-income pupils to gain the grades and confidence they need to progress in education, and achieve their potential

This opportunity will assist you in gaining the following skills:

  • Interpersonal/Confidence
  • Teamwork
  • Leadership/Management

Training will be provided by the organisation for this position:

Full induction day in addition to ongoing support and training from dedicated programme managers.
