Description

The Afghanistan & Central Asian Association is an exciting refugee and asylum seeker charity that supports young people facing socio-economic disadvantage to achieve a meaningful level of academic attainment. This enables them to go on to further education, employment or training.

We partner Volunteer Teachers with primary and secondary school pupils to increase their subject knowledge, whilst building on confidence and study skills. These students do not perform as well as their more affluent peers, and they are unable to access private tuition.

The ACAA is trying to change that by using Volunteer Teachers to make the benefits of tuition more widely available.

Apply to be a Volunteer Teacher and we will place you as a Maths Teacher at our Hounslow Saturday Supplementary School. You will work with pupils for two hour a week on a Saturday from 12-2pm.

Sessions are delivered on at the charity premises at the same time each week.

Volunteering with ACAA is a great way to make a difference to the local community, make use of your qualifications and meet new people!
