Description

Come along and grow your gardening, food growing, communication, self confidence and community engagement skills with Growing Connections – a local community welling being project for all!

We have volunteering opportunities to get involved in regular gardening activities in our newly created community food growing space behind our community centre. Volunteers will also help ‘green’ the neighbourhood around EC1, get involved in fun and informative community gardening activities, events and trips.

Groups already involved and benefiting from Growing Connections include nursery children, pensioners, multicultural groups and people with mental health problems.

This opportunity will assist you in gaining the following skills:

About you

The organisation has indicated the following requirements from volunteers who want to take this opportunity.

Essential: Basic gardening knowledge or willingness/ interest to learn, good people skills, ability to work alone or as part of a team, flexible
