Could you help inspire the next generation of STEM talent?
Join our Academic Tutoring programme...

We are currently seeking enthusiastic undergraduate, post graduate, and recently graduated volunteer tutors, to assist our students with AS and A level work on a one-to-one basis. Tutoring will take place at regular sessions to be held at UCL’s Euston Campus. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain some valuable teaching and mentoring experience for those looking to make a difference to disadvantaged, talented young people, and to broaden their CV.

Key requirements:
- Must be reliable, patient and able to inspire learning in young people.
- Must be currently studying on, or have completed an undergraduate degree.
- Must be able to commit to one to two hours a week of face-to face tutoring at UCL - dates from November 2016 to March 2017

Volunteers are expected to tutor on Tuesday and/or Wednesday evenings (usually 6-8pm) during the Autumn and Spring term.

- DBS check : Volunteers do not need a DBS certificate for this role.

Training will be provided by the organisation for this position:

Volunteer Induction to include : Child protection and training specific to tutoring, behaviour management and general best practice in tutoring and mentoring

Health & Safety Induction : Health and safety training will include ‘what to do in the event of a fire’ when volunteers are on site.
