About the opportunity

Would you like to support people with mental health difficulties? This could be the role for you. This role involves supporting an adult who is living in a Centra supported housing scheme and take them to their medical appointments helping them to use the public transport and enabling them to feel more confident and relaxed while at the doctor.

Among other activities you would:

- Support the service user with weekly medical appointments.
- Empower service users so that they can feel more calm and confident at the doctor.
- Accompany the service users in their journeys to and from the doctor.

We provide support services to vulnerable groups in society including young people with complex needs, people with mental health difficulties, people with learning disabilities, older people and vulnerable families in the community

Practical Considerations

Volunteers receive a thorough induction and have access to any relevant in-house and external training. Reasonable travel and lunch expenses will be reimbursed
