Description

Volunteering for Connect is particularly suited to those thinking of a career in Speech and Language Therapy or the Health and Social Care sector, but this is by no means exclusively so. If you are a "people person", with good communication skills, a desire to learn, patience and a willingness to "have a go" then we would love to hear from you!
At our London Centre our groups include Communication groups, Drop ins, a Music Group, an Editorial group, a Women's Group and visits to art galleries.

This opportunity will assist you in gaining the following skills:

  • Interpersonal/Confidence
  • Teamwork

Training will be provided by the organisation for this position:

Training in developing your communication skills and talking to people with aphasia. Risk assessment and safeguarding individuals.
