Hours per week 3 hours
Location Suite 316, Pill Box. 115 Coventry Road Bethnal Green, E2 6GG (Office location) Volunteering will take place at a school within London. Tutors will have the choice of schools they would prefer to work in. While we cannot guarantee preferences we will endeavour to allocate a school local to them.
Description

We run a voluntary leadership programme that trains exceptional university students to learn leadership and teaching skills through tutoring children from low income backgrounds. Alongside this students use our networks to strengthen their own employment prospects.

Pupils come to us capable of doing well at school but currently underperforming. It is your job, as their tutor, to inspire, motivate and support them in their learning so that they get back on track, and achieve their potential.

Training will be provided by the organisation for this position:

Tutor induction webinar hosted on Wednesday 6th January covering the programme, basic teaching skills and curriculum.

One additional training session per month between 30 & 60 minutes in length on key teaching and leadership skills.

Essential: Strong academic grades (A's and B's), or equivalent qualification, in subjects relevant to the one you would like to tutor in
